Below are some of the criteria which would mean you are dependent on drugs:

• Difficulty in controlling use of drugs in terms of onset, termination and level of consumption
• Increasing tolerance for drug
• Physiological withdrawl state on cessation or use of drug to avoid withdrawls
• Strong desie or sense of compulsion to drug use
• Progressive neglect of other interests
• Persisting with use despite clear evidence of harmful consequences that user is aware of

I have ALL the above, and my 'drug' is the INTERNET!!! ARGH!!! ;p Help me overcome this addiction!!!
